THE PLANET NEEDS US!
Youth for Climate Action Goal 13 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is Climate Action and it requires us all to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. The goal has 5 targets and 8 indicators. We take special focus on the first three indicators that are more relevant to the case of Kenya as a developing country and how the youth of this country can actively participate to protect the future of the planet. The three indicators are: Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries. Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies and planning. Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning Climate change is real!
